MIDDLEZOY Rovers Ladies sit top of the South West Women’s League Premier Division after a 3-0 win at Downend Flyers Women on Sunday.

In testing conditions Zoy asserted themselves on the game as Chelsea Day, Rosie Williams and Anusia Rourke all had shots that tested the home keeper.

Soon they were ahead, as Chloe Stringer blasted home from 25 yards out, and it was 2-0 moments later, Rourke driving in a low shot from just outside the area.

On the stroke of half time Zoy made it three, as Georgia Coles flicked home a Williams free-kick.

The second half saw the wind come more into play, but Zoy held firm to secure the clean sheet and the win.

Middlezoy: Edwards, Brown, Cox, Payne, Goodier, Turner, Coles, Williams, Stringer, Day, Rourke.
