WITH Bridgwater Sports on cup duty it gave Locomotives a chance to open up a gap at the top of Division One of the Taunton and District Saturday League and they now lead by four points after destroying Staplegrove Reserves 9-0.

Their game is based on passing and moving at it was very effective on the day with both Joe Wilkinson and Tom Edwards getting hat tricks, while Sam Hislop, Paul Stimpson and Dean Quinn added the other three goals.

Bridgwater won't mind too much having won 3-0 at Combe St Nicholas to progress to the next round of the Somerset Junior Cup.
