Bridgwater Schools Match Report:
Bridgwater Schools U’13s 0, Yeovil 3

BRIDGWATER entertained Yeovil in a must win fixture that would see the winners progress to the final of the Somerset cup.

The game was evenly poised until a counter-attack of real quality saw Yeovil produce a fine team goal to make it 1-0.

Bridgwater continued to battle away as Jake Stewart and Tyler Parker shone in midfield and Jai Nevison looked a threat up front.

The pace of the Yeovil attackers continued to threaten the home defence and two quick fire goals just before half time increased the Yeovil lead to 3-0 at half-time.

The 2nd half proved very different as Bridgwater pressed the opposition into making more mistakes.

Max Cattle, Fin Giblin and Tyler Parker produced all action performances in a much improved team performance.

The defence of Cory Brown, Ellis Bennett, Kane Tucker and Bon Fear dealt with Yeovil much better and looked in control at all times.

Bridgwater created opportunities as Jai Nevison and Max Cattle forced the Yeovil keeper into making fine saves.

Despite lots of pressure Bridgwater couldn’t score the goals their efforts deserved.

For Bridgwater Fin Giblin, Max Cattle, Tyler Parker and Bon Fear worked tirelessly while man of the match went to Jake Stewart for a battling performance in midfield.

The team can be very proud of their efforts this year and can look forward to next season with great hope.
