Bridgwater Town 3, Hallen 0

A DOMINANT first-half display set Bridgwater on their way to a 3-0 home win against Hallen at Fairfax Park last night (Tuesday).

Returning to league action after their narrow FA Cup defeat at Gosport on Saturday, Town flew out the traps and opened the scoring after just four minutes when Syd Camper found the back of the net.

By the eighth minute the hosts were 2-0 to the good, as Jake Llewellyn converted the rebound after Ryan Burrows' shot was saved, and Burrows got his own name on the scoresheet with a third just before half-time.

The second half was short on chances, with Jack Jenkins coming closest, and the end of the game was marred by a scuffle which broke out six minutes from time.

One player from each side was sent off, with Town midfielder Mike Duffy receiving his marching orders, but the home side were able to see out a comfortable victory.

Bridgwater are without a game this Saturday and return to action at Clevedon Town next Wednesday.
