Toolstation Western League Premier Division
Wells City 0, Bridgwater Town 3
TWO goals from Syd Camper helped Bridgwater Town on their way to an excellent 3-0 away win at Wells City in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division.
The Robins were keen to bounce back from their last-gasp midweek defeat against Shepton Mallet and started the game on the front foot, going ahead after 11 minutes when Camper's strike was saved but deflected into the net off a Wells defender.
If there had been an element of fortune about their first goal, there was no doubting Town's second as Camper dispatched Jack Jenkins' pass to put the visitors two up inside the opening 20 minutes.
Bridgwater could have added further to their lead, but had to wait until the 73rd minute to truly make the game safe when Camper nodded home his second following a corner.
That rounded off a satisfying performance and result for Town, with the only blot coming courtesy of an injury to Callum Ham, who was stretchered off after finding himself on the receiving end of a poor challenge.
Next up for the Robins is the visit of Bridport to Fairfax Park on Tuesday evening (7.45pm).
