Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West
Swindon Supermarine 3, Bridgwater Town 1

BRIDGWATER Town took the lead at Swindon Supermarine through a Harry Horton stunner, but the playoff-chasing hosts came back with three goals of their own.

The Robins, bottom of the table, had the ideal start when, after soaking up early pressure from the home side, Horton blasted a 30-yard effort into the top corner with eight minutes played.

The visitors stayed ahead for 20 minutes, but on the half hour Brad Hooper equalised for Supermarine as he finished off a ball into the box.

Having cleared an Else effort off the line just before half time, the Robins looked unruffled at the back as the home side pushed forward, but their defences were breached in the 64th minute, Joe Shepherd finding the net after a goalmouth scramble following a corner.

And the win was wrapped up by Supermarine with 10 minutes remaining, as Josh Parsons volleyed in a Ryan Campbell cross.

Despite the positives in the performance, it was a 10th straight loss for Phil Hucker's side, who remain three points off second-bottom Wantage Town.

This Saturday they host AFC Totton - currently third from bottom - at Fairfax Park (ko 3pm).
