Southern League Division One S&W
Burnham 0 Bridgwater Town 1
BRIDGWATER Town's season ended on a high note, as a 17th minute goal from Josh White sealed three points and perhaps made a long journey home more enjoyable, writes Jeff Bennett.
White headed home from a corner early in the first half to give the Robins a lead they would not relinquish, as they left Buckinghamshire in buoyant mood.
The game was end-to-end and it was the defending from both sides that kept the score at 1-0 at half time.
The second half started well for Burnham as they continued to press forward and had several chances
Bridgwater were not without their chances either, with both Issac Reid then Harry Horton going close.
Burnham's best chance then fell to defender Luke Egdar, who broke through the Bridgwater defence only to see his placed shot hit the post and roll along the line before being cleared.
The Robins finish the season in 19th place, with 34 points from 42 games.
