BRIDGWATER Town head into the new league season on the back of two consecutive wins, after goals from Sean Anthony and Ross McNab sealed a 2-1 win at Barnstaple Town on Saturday.
Anthony fired Paul West’s side into the lead in the 23rd minute, before the home side levelled things up six minutes before half-time.
But McNab fired home his second pre-season goal in as many games on 69 minutes to secure an encouraging win for Bridgwater.
Town begin the 2015/16 Southern League Division One season with a trip to Winchester on Saturday (3pm kick-off), before welcoming Taunton Town to Fairfax Park on Tuesday night (August 11) for what promises to be an enthralling local derby.
Bridgwater Town Reserves also completed their pre-season campaign with a win, beating Bridgwater Town and Team BC under 18s 1-0 at Fairfax Park on Friday night.
Matt Connick headed home the only goal of the game on 40 minutes following a well-worked corner routine.
Town Reserves kick off the new season at home to newly-formed Nailsea and Tickenham FC on Saturday (3pm kick-off) – while the under 18s have their second pre-season game against Burnham on Thursday evening.
