Bridgwater Town 1, Bradford Town 1

A SECOND-HALF equaliser from striker Jack Taylor earned Bridgwater Town a share of the spoils against second-placed Bradford Town and ended the hosts' four-match losing streak.

The opening stages were evenly matched, with Bridgwater seeing a penalty appeal turned down on 13 minutes before Taylor's cross evaded everyone at the far post.

Bradford took the lead just shy of the half-hour mark through a screamer from Matty Morris, whose half-volley found the top corner, and the visitors held their lead until half-time.

The Robins started the second period on top, with Taylor seeing a goal ruled out for offside, but the frontman was not to be denied with 15 minutes to play when he latched onto a defensive error and fired into the corner.

Bridgwater looked the more likely winners after that and chances came for Mike Duffy, Dave Thorne and Steve Holland, but the hosts couldn't convert and were left to settle for a point - only the third time this season they have drawn.

Town have little time to recover - they travel to Melksham Town, who won at Fairfax Park on Saturday, on Thursday night.

Bridgwater Town: Jake Viney, Dave Thorne, Lee Begg, Tom Stone, Kurt Robinson, Steve Holland, Mike Duffy, Harry Horton, Jake Llewellyn, Dave Pearse, Jack Taylor
