BRIDGWATER Town face a Toolstation Western League double-header over the Easter weekend, playing away to near-neighbours Wellington tomorrow (Friday, ko 1pm) and then Chipping Sodbury Town on Monday.

Robins player-manager Dave Pearse is hoping his side can get one over Wellington, as the Tangerines won at Fairfax Park on Boxing Day.

Town have been in fine form since, though, and Pearse said: “We owe then one from our last league game but it’s tough at their place and we have some players missing.

“We have to be targeting six points from our Easter games and be looking to finish as close to Melksham [currently second] as we can.

“We are 13 points off them at the moment but still have to play them twice, while they have some tough games coming up.”

TONIGHT sees Bridgwater Town Reserves host Middlezoy Rovers in the Somerset County League at Fairfax Park (ko 7.45pm).

Middlezoy are fifth in the table while their hosts lie in 12th, but with the Reserves pulling off some fine results recently and Bridgwater bragging rights being at stake, it should be a tasty encounter.

Bridgwater Town confirmed on Twitter this afternoon that the game would go ahead, despite the recent wet weather.

Following this match, Middlezoy are next in action on Saturday, April 7 - at home to Wrington Redhill - while Bridgwater Reserves have a very quick turnaround, as they travel to Ilminster Town on Saturday (ko 3pm).
