BRIDGWATER Town welcome Wells City to Fairfax Park tomorrow (ko 3pm), hoping to extend their fine run of form that has taken them up to sixth in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division table.

With Wells currently second from bottom in the table, Robins co-manager Karl Baggaley is hoping his side can get the desired result and entertain the supporters at Fairfax Park.

He said: "All the games you play against teams at the bottom are potential banana skins, but at the moment we are playing well and scoring goals.

"I see every game as winnable; it is just down to how we turn up on the day - we can be our own worst enemy at times."

You can follow the match as it happens with our live blog on bridgwatermercury.co.uk/sport tomorrow afternoon.

IN the Somerset County League Premier Division, Bridgwater Town Reserves play their first match since the depature of manager Dan Wright on Thursday night.

Wright decided to step down from the role, having played a significant role in supporting youth development at the club alongside Bridgwater & Taunton College.

The club said in a statement: "This is not a decision that has been enforced by the club, however, Dan feels now is the right time to step away from the club, and after several conversations we have accepted Dan’s resignation.

"Both the club and college would like to go on record to thank Dan for all of his exceptional hard work and dedication over the past four years."

Vice-chairman Bob Buckingham added: "We will begin our recruitment campaign for the next Reserve Team Manager in the coming weeks.

"In the interim period, Kenzie Farnham, Lewis Hembery and Matthew Redman, all former Team BTC students and now senior players within the reserve team squad, will oversee fixtures."

Tomorrow sees the side - 12th in the table - travel to near-neighbours Staplegrove, who are currently 16th (second bottom) for a 2.30pm kick-off.
