BRIDGWATER Town are back in league action for the first time since October 7 this weekend as they travel to Odd Down in the Toolstation Western League Premier Division (3pm).

The break has not come at an ideal time for Town, who are seeking consistency after a mixed start, as they have been unable to try and build on their comprehensive 4-1 victory over high-flying Buckland Athletic last time out.

The weeks since have seen a break for the league's 125th anniversary dinner and the first round proper of the FA Vase, which brought extra-time joy for the Robins as they won 3-2 at Bashley last weekend.

Now the focus returns to the bread and butter of league action, with a trip to Bath to face ninth-placed Odd Down in store this weekend.

Bridgwater go into the game in 13th with 14 points from their opening 11 matches.

Josh White is suspended for the Robins, with Tyne Govier likely to step up from the reserves to replace him, while Town co-managers Dave Pearse and Karl Baggaley also hope to welcome back strikers Jack Taylor and Ryan Burrows along with midfielder Jack Jenkins.

Taylor, who has scored three goals in his first two Town matches, missed last week's Vase win as he was cup-tied having already played in the competition for former club Wellington this season.

Elsewhere this weekend, Middlezoy will be looking to build on a superb comeback last time out as they head to Nailsea and Tickenham in the Somerset County League Premier Division (3pm).

Zoy came from 3-0 down to claim a remarkable 4-3 win at Shirehampton last Saturday, and sit fifth going into the match.

In the same division, Bridgwater Town Reserves host Wells City at Fairfax Park (3pm).

On Sunday, Middlezoy Ladies host their Bishops Lydeard counterparts in the South West Women's League Premier Division, while Wembdon Ladies welcome Weston AFC in Somerset Women's League Division One (both 2pm).
