Toolstation Western League Premier Division
Bridgwater Town 1, Bridport 1
BOTH goals were scored in the first half as Bridgwater Town and Bridport shared the spoils at Fairfax Park on Tuesday evening.
The hosts were looking to build on Saturday's 3-0 victory at Wells and, after a quiet start to the match, took the lead on 27 minutes when Jake Llewellyn volleyed home Jack Jenkins' pass.
Jake Viney made a super save 10 minutes before the break to maintain Town's advantage, but they were pegged back on the stroke of half-time when Bridport converted from the spot to level the scores.
Viney was called into action again at the start of the second half, tipping a header over the bar before denying a visiting striker who was clean through, as Bridport pushed for the lead.
Bridgwater had chances of their own, with Syd Camper coming close, but the game ended 1-1 as Bridgwater climbed to 10th.
The Robins have a break from league action this weekend as they travel to Southern League Premier side Gosport Borough in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup.
