Southern League Division One S&W
Bridgwater Town 0 Didcot Town 1
A FIRST-half goal from Didcot's Jack Self condemned Bridgwater Town to a 1-0 defeat at Fairfax Park on Saturday.
Self netted in the 31st minute for the visitors, to seal victory in a scrappy game that could have gone either way.
The Robins came close to equalising when Matt Connick's diving header drifted wide following a pinpoint cross from Ibrahim Diallo.
The away side almost doubled their lead on two occasions in the second half, with Josh Dutton-Black off target with separate efforts.
A nasty looking injury to Didcot's James Kibble - who was stretchered off with a suspected broken leg in the 20th minute - marred this fixture.
IN Somerset Premier division, Bridgwater Town Reserves suffered a 3-1 defeat at fourth-place Odd Down Reserves.
The defeat is a Town's fourth successive in the league, with the Robins also winning just once in their last five games in all competitions.
They sit tenth in the table.
