RICHARD Johnson has left his position as chairman of Bridgwater Town, the club has announced.
Vice chairman Clive Kemmish will takeover on an interim basis until a permannt successor is appointed.
A statement from Bridgwater Town FC said: "Bridgwater Town today announced the departure of Richard Johnson from his position as chairman of the football club.
"The club would like to place on record their sincere thanks and appreciation for all Richard's hard work and efforts during his tenure in the post.
"During the interim period, Vice Chairman Clive Kemmish will chair any committee meetings and the search will begin to put a permanent successor in place.
"Anyone interested in helping the club during the coming season or with a view to getting involved next season, should contact the club via the official website, by email or by telephone.
"The club are always looking for ball, player, programme and match sponsors and of course welcome any fresh ideas which can help continue Richards good work and keep pushing the club forward."
