Bridgwater Town 1, Swindon Supermarine 1

BRIDGWATER Town recorded their third successive home draw with a 1-1 result against Swindon Supermarine.

Daine O'Connor had given the Robins a first half lead when he bundled in a Geraint Bater corner from close range, but the lead lasted all of ten minutes as Ashley Edenborough equalised just before the break.

Town looked businesslike early on with Danny Wring and Kristian Miller linking effectively on the right flank.

Wring it was who had most efforts on goal in the first half. He sent a low shot which dipped alarmingly just as it reached keeper Kent Kauppinen who did well to hold on.

The midfielder also lifted an effort over the left angle of the goal after taking a pass from Daine O'Connor.

Richard Fey's men took the lead on 32 minutes when a corner from Geraint Bater evaded the Swindon 'keeper and had to be cleared off the line by a defender. But the loose ball fell to O'Connor who slotted home for his fifth goal of the season.

The visitors drew level ten minutes later when striker Edenborough latched on to a neat reverse pass and shot past Wright in the Bridgwater goal.

The second half was a much quieter affair, with Mitchell Page having the best chance to score a winner but Kauppinen was alert to the danger and pulled off an impressive double save.

Top scorer Joe Bushin was introduced as Town opted to play with three front-men - and he was in the action almost immediately as his header drifted wide of the upright.

Swindon shot back into life and began to threaten - only a goal line clearance from Middleton prevented them from taking the lead.

Dave Bampton's headed over from a corner as the pressure mounted and late in the contest Edenborough's low drive was well saved by Wright as the teams took a share of the spoils.

Wright, Miller, Robbins, Middleton, Warren, Bater, Wring (Bushin 72) , Osman , Page , O'Connor (Faux 90) Wilson (Loxton 74).
