Premier League: Scunthorpe Scorpions 51, Somerset Sharp Rebels 39
THE Rebels lost this match at Scunthorpe on Bank Holiday in the last four heats, suffering their first league defeat of the season.
After they had taken the early lead with a victory by Brent Werner in heat two, the match was neck-and-neck.

In heat three, Emil Kramer was well clear when his engine failed coming off the last bend and he finished third behind Benji Compton and team-mate Matthias Kroeger.
The scores were level after heats five and six, then Kramer and Kroeger earned a 4-2 in seven to put their side two ahead.
In the next race, Jordan Frampton was excluded, unfairly, after a fall on the first bed and the subsequent home 5-1 gave Scunthorpe a lead they were never to lose.
Only two points separated the sides until heat 12, when Viktor Bergstrom and Magnus Karlsson stormed to a 5-1 ahead of Kramer and Simon Walker.
Richard Hall beat Jason Doyle in the next, increasing his side's lead to 12 points. Stephan Katt was last and the star of Friday's big home win by Somerset ended the night point-less.
Kramer finished last as a tactical rider in 14, which saw Werner's second win of the night, then Hall and Karlsson completed the Scorpions' victory with a 5-1 in the nominated race against Doyle and Kramer.
Doyle top-scored for Somerset with ten, while Werner was paid for ten and Kramer for nine.
