Bristol Barbarians 55, North Petherton II 29
PETHERTON were unable to turn their recent poor form around and lost their third consecutive match on Saturday.
In a first-half totally dominated by the home side, Petherton were staring down the barrel as they fell 40 points behind.
But Pethy gave an excellent account of themselves in the second half, scoring four tries to Barbarians’ two.
It is now vital for the team to pick up some points against Old Sulians this Saturday to avoid dropping into the relegation zone.
Albion took a 14-0 half-time lead thanks to tries from Dave Richards and Richard Willis, both converted by Jonathan Frost.
Morgs got back into the game through Matt Neal’s try and Stef Pierce’s conversion but Bridgy sealed the win through a Ryan Tidball try and a penalty and conversion from Frost.
Next week, Albion are at home to Somerton and Morgs travel to Cheddar. Both games are a 3pm kick-off.
