Bridgwater Men 1st 5, Bodmin 2

Looking to bounce back following last week's disappointing defeat, Bodmin took the lead, a goal which sparked Bridgwater into life.
Ash Woolmington linked well with Josh Gale who found Bennett, whose stick at the top of crowded 'D' found him an inch of space and he crashed home the equaliser.
The second Bodmin take the lead for the second time but Bridgwater battled back Lott got the equaliser before Woolmington's flick at goal put Bridgwater ahead for the first time.
There were two more quick goals as Lott beat a player and the goalkeeper to score and then man of the match Nick Bennett found the bottom corner of the goal ahead of the team's trip to Yeovil this weekend.

Bridgwater Ladies 1st 2, Shepton Mallet 1

THE first half was played with great skill and determination from the mid-field, with Alex Johnson, Charlie and Heidi, followed by some near goals from the forwards and from Bridgwater's penalty corners.
The second half started off with a great goal by Paige who tipped it in the net, followed by another goal by Bridgwater as Paige again was on hand by the post to score. Shepton had a goal from an controversial umpiring decision, with also resulted in Alex being penalised with a card.
Player of the match was Alex Johnson.


Bridgwater Mens 2nd 3 v 3 ISCA C (Away)


IN a quiet first half, Bridgwater trailed 1-0 at the break after the visitors broke down the defence of Mike Morrish, Duncan Morrish and Clayton Hobbs.
ISCA made it 2-0 early in the second half and then 3-0 leaving Bridgy with it all to do. But they responded when Rich Payne snuck a reverse shot into the corner of the goal for 3-1 and Steve Turvey bundled teh abll in for 3-2.
The equaliser came when Payne found Turner who moved the ball quickly for Turvey to score from close range.
Man of the match was Duncan Bond.


Bridgwater Ladies 2nd 1, Minehead 1s 6


A KATH Briggs goal could not prevent Bridgwater Ladies 2nds from losing 6-1 to Minehead in their top of the table clash.
Millie Burridge was player of the match for her work holding in the midfield and tireless support of the attacking play.


Bridgwater Men 4th 2, Minehead 3rd 2

BRIDGWATER opened the scoring with Lang skilfully placing the ball onto Pigden's stick but Minehead responded with two quick goals before half time to take the lead.
Bridgwater went into the second half and got a well deserved equaliser as Foxwell struck a ball into the 'D', it took a deflection off a defender's foot into the path of key poacher Pigden who leveled the scores.
Man of the match was Steve Pigden.


Bridgwater Mens 5th 0, Sidmouth and Ottery 5th 10


IT was a tough day at the office for the Men's 5ths as they lost 10-0 to Sidmouth and Ottery.
James Nash and Sam Beasley made debuts but the defence of Liam Durkin and Toby Squires had their work cut out for them.
Bridgwater's Man of the Match was Ben Squires.


Bridgwater Juniors Hockey Festival

A JUNIOR festival at the Chilton Trinity pitch saw an under 10s team and two over 10s teams of boys and girls represented Bridgwater in the festival playing teams from Taunton Civil Service, Taunton vale and Cheddar.
