Division 2 Cup
Cutters Friday 1, Middlezoy Rovers 5
THE first half was a really scrappy affair but the match opened up in the second half into a goalfest which saw Rovers progress into the next round.
Cutters made the breakthrough but Steve Hall ran half the length of the pitch straight from the restart before curling a shot over the keeper from wide to level the scores.
Middlezoy doubled their lead 60 seconds later when Dan Luce curled a first-time shot into the top corner and that became 3-1 when Hall scored after good work from Jennings.
Craig Wright’s header at the back post on 65 minutes made it 4-1 and Andy Smith wrapped up the scoring from the penalty spot after he was brought down in the box.
l Middlezoy travel to Nailsea United on Saturday.
