Bridgwater Mercury: Bridgwater Town take on Bognor Regis Town in FA Trophy Bridgwater Town take on Bognor Regis Town in FA Trophy

BRIDGWATER Town are one step away from the FA Trophy First Round Proper if they can beat Bognor Regis Town on Saturday.

The team are looking to bounce back from defeat to Swindon Supermarine against Bognor, who are sixth in the Ryman League Premier Division.

Joint boss Dave Pople said there were no excuses for Saturday's performance and that there is plenty to talk about ahead of the weekend's cup clash.

He said: “We were upset with the goal but I felt we were lacklustre and didn't take our chances so that is inexcusable.

“The cup match is chance for some prize money for the club and the pressure is off because we are the underdogs. Hopefully we can enjoy the day out and get the right result.”

People booked on the coach need to meet at Fairfax Park at 9.15am. Kick-off is 3pm.

Well, not that it will involve us. Makes you wonder who is actually deciding who is playing. Loss of the only player to give more than 100% to Tivvy. Wonder if it has anything to do with him being benched? Some of those so called players who started, shouldn't have started. Not sure what No3 was doing, looked lost on the pitch. Couldn't read the ball if he tried. Is it going to be another one of those seasons, where the supporters are dealt with contempt? I question was asked of the management on Saturday about the departure of Pearce. Only to be shouted down. Its like we don't exist. Remember who pays money every week to watch so called football. Lets not favour the ex Taunton players - as that is what seems to be happening.
