BCS SW League - Rugby Union.
Bridgwater College 43, Richard Huish College 7
THIS was a game won by an entertaining, big and physical Bridgwater College team. In a match that featured some great defence and brilliant team play.
There were seven tries scored in all, with Captain Jay Owens bagging a double and his centre partner Mason Shaw claiming three.
The three stand-out performances go to man of the match Laurence Nicholson, Russ Morgan and Tim Hill and Adam White, Kurt Polley and Tom White worked well up front, and the centre pairing of Jay and Mason defended solidly with fullback Alex Dickens.
In the girls hockey, Bridgwater College lost 1-0 to Exeter despite the trio of Taylor, Paige and Kathryn working tirelessly to control the midfield and Vicky and Charlotte up front outpacing their opponents but being unlucky not to be able to convert any of their attacks.
In the boys hockey, they thrashed Exeter 6-0. Early goals from James Facey and Tom Lott set the tone before two more goals followed from Tim Bennett and a second from Facey.
Bridgwater continued to dominate the game with two further goals coming late in the second half from Tom Lott and Dan for a thoroughly deserved win.
