THE weather made its mark on this week's fixtures with only eleven games surviving the wet pitches.

Five of the postponed games were in the County Junior Cup which take priority over other games so will all have to be played next week disrupting league fixtures.

In the Somerset Junior Cup second round, SRL All Saints progress to the third round without kicking a ball as their opponents handed them a walk over. Bridgwater Sports had an easy afternoon as well beating Odcombe at home 10-2, Paul Organ was the main marksman with four goals, Andrew Skidmore added two with Richard Smith, Kier Meaker, Matt Fursland and Matt Penwell all getting in on the act with one each.

Highbridge Town had a closer game against Aller Park but came through 3-2 winners, John Rawlings, Chris Farley and Richard Probert all got a goal apiece. North Petherton were our only side to fail on the day losing 1-3 away to Churchill Club 70, Brady Hart scored their goal.

In league action, Division Two side Nether Stowey lost 1-0 to Wyvern Rangers and Westonzoyland beat Staplegrove 2-1 thanks to an early goal from Tim Butt and then a winner from Nathan Barnard who produced a bullet header from a corner.

None of our team's were in Division Three action, but Division Four side Bridgwater Sports Colts lost 6-1 to Milverton Rangers despite Alex Turner's consolation goal.

Plenty of games took place in Division Five with Bridgwater Grasshoppers losing 3-1 to Sampford Blues Reserves, Leon Pillinger getting the consolation.

East Bower also lost 3-1 as Adam Knighter got their only goal and Wembdon Saints Reserves lost 4-2 to Creech Coogars despite Tom Walford's brace.

Middlezoy Rovers came from a goal down to beat Staplegrove Colts 4-2. Alex Troman got the initial equaliser for Rovers before Lee Horsey put them in front. Martin Innalls regained the lead for Rovers after Grove made it 2-2 and Troman wrapped it up with a fourth goal.
