Somerset County League
Shirehampton 2, Bridgwater Town Res 2
TWO Kenzie Farnham goals secured Bridgwater Town Reserves a point on Saturday at Shirehampton.
In a scrappy first half, the home side took the lead and held on to it until the break.
Farnham levelled the scores as his skipped past two tackles to slot the ball past the onrushing keeper.
Shirehampton regained the lead moments later but captain Farnham lead from the front to beat two more players as he cut in from the left and struck a 20-yard shot into the bottom corner.
He said: “There is always a bit of pressure when you're picking the team so it was a relief to score and help the team pick up a point.”
The team take on Middlezoy Rovers tonight at Fairfax Park. Kick-off is 7.45pm. See the preview in this week's sport section.
