TOWN’S joint boss Kevin Milsom admitted he was left frustrated with his side’s 1-1 draw with Mangotsfield United.

The Robins fell behind early on but a Craig Veal penalty 13 minutes from time helped level the scores.

Milsom said: “It was a sloppy free-kick that we gave away and then we did not defend it very well.

“But after that I thought we murdered them in the second half but we just ran out of ideas – I think we needed to stay more patient.”

Chris McGrath was back in the side with Tim Legg as Graham Mercieca and Zayne Simpson started on the bench – a decision which Milsom said was a difficult one.

He added: “It is always difficult when you have these decisions to make but it shows how much competition for places there is and in a way it’s a good situation to be in.”

The team travel to Abingdon United on Saturday and Milsom said he wants to return back to the county with no less than three points.

He said: “We are definitely targeting three points, we want to be up and around mid-table and we feel we should be above there from the matches so far.

“But we have a few bits and pieces to learn and the good sides take their chances and we need to start doing that.”

Kick-off for the match is 3pm. A coach will leave Fairfax Park on Saturday at 10.30am, contact Pete Besley on 01278-784518 to book your spot.
