Bridgwater Jupiter 54, Vivary 52

JUPITER started tentatively with a new line up following Hannah Symes’ injury last week and trailed the first quarter by two goals.

They finally settled down, making safe passes and many interceptions to lead 28-23 at half time and fantastic movement and accurate shooting from Sammy Kemmish (GS) ensured that Jupiter stayed ahead for the final quarter.

Despite confident play from the team, Vivary managed to close the gap but great offering and linking play from Amy Shaw (WA) helped Jupiter keep possession and win the game 54-52. Player of the match: Sammy Kemmish.

Bridgwater Saturn 42, Tomahawks 36

SATURN’S started slowly but managed to pull level at the end of the first quarter.

Some good interceptions from WD Emma Reynolds and GK Sally Haysham in the second quarter, and good movement through the court by Centre, Sammie Woolacott, enabled Saturn to pull away 23-19 by half time.

The second half of the game saw an outstanding performance from GS Katy Cheese, whose fantastic shooting and positional play enabled Saturn to secure the win 42-36.

Player of the match: Katy Cheese.

Bridgwater Venus 53, Walton Blacks 41

AFTER a slow start and a few team changes, Venus began to take form with every player delivering some great passes to bring the ball down the court.

Karis Holleron (GA) and Paige Langdon (GS) further improved their attacking partnership, bringing the score to 21-20 to Venus at half-time.

Player of the match, Morgan Middleton, moved to GK and worked tirelessly defending Walton's attack, gaining some impressive height.

The second half saw Venus pull away after some fantastic netball in both defence and attack to win 53-41.
