THE annual Nathan Hicks Memorial Trophy tournament, in memory of the former Ash Rangers player who died eight years ago at the age of 14, raised £300.
The money has been donated to the Children’s Ward at Musgrove Park Hospital and will go towards a multi sensory room they have planned.
The impressive amount was raised thanks to the teams, taking part, referees Jim Farrant and Michael Morgan and Ken Templeman, and Taunton Academy for offering their pitch and facilities for free.
Black Rileys beat Bathpool, Wellington Warriors and Ash to win the cup.
