CRAIG Mawford will make the switch from Bridgwater Town down the M5 to neighbours Taunton Town.
The 24-year-old (pictured) from Weston was a key member of the Robins side last season but told the Mercury’s Daniel Milligan that the enjoyment levels were not there this season.
He said: “I have nothing against the management at the club because Kevin [Milsom] has been brilliant.
“I hold no grudges with the team and hope they do well but I do not think Bridgwater suited me with the changes coming into place.
“I am looking forward to playing at Taunton now and playing some regular football down there.”
Kevin Milsom said he was annoyed with the decision, adding: “If it was a decision purely made on football maybe I could understand.”
He also said they have signed Wellington’s Darren Rice to cover Mawford’s departure, describing him as a good, honest lad.
