Somerset 1
North Petherton 2nds 5, Castle Cary 12
PETHERTON were the first to break the deadlock as they spread play from one side of the pitch then quickly back to the other touchline to give Rob King his first try for the second team, writes Simon Gingell.
The conversion was missed and the half ended 5-0.
Unfortunately, this was as good as it got for Pethy as in the second half Castle Cary scored two tries after mistakes.
The last three minutes were all Pethy as the team played their best rugby with great hands really stretching the Cary defence but sadly time ran out.
Next up is a trip to Bristol to play St Bernadettes this Saturday. Kick-off is 3pm.
