ABBEY Moor and Maltshovel lead the way in Division 1 of the Uxella Bridgwater Sunday League after two matches.

The former claimed a narrow win over Pawlett Rebels while Maltshovel put four unanswered goals past New Foresters.

Red Tile were indebted to a Jamie Evans goal to beat Tiger Old Boys 1-0 and Connor Watts kept up his scoring spree with a hat-trick for Blake OB in their 5-2 win over Middlezoy. Josh Speed and Ed Harrison also netted for Blake.

Highburn recorded their first win of the season with a 3-1 victory at Grasshoppers, despite both teams having a man sent off.

In Division 2, Cornhill and ROF lead the way.

Cornhill hit Huntspill BPH for six in their 6-3 win thanks to a Paul Goss hat-trick and further goals from Tom Lott, Mark Passmore and Will Pope.

ROF claimed a nervier win in their 1-0 display against Tiger Old Boys Res thanks to a Carl Gymer goal. There was cause for celebration, though, in North Petherton as they won their first match since they re-formed more than a year ago with a 4-2 victory over Puriton. A Lloyd Beacham brace and a goal from Jack Edwards made up some of the scorers while Josh Champion bagged two for Puriton.

Flag Old Boys beat Willow Green 3-2 despite goals from Michal Fabiankovic and Marc Brit, Ramblers claimed a 2-1 win over Cobblestones after Mike Sidmore netted twice, and Knowle thrashed Rhode Lane Wanderers 7-2 thanks to four goals from Dale Curtis, two from Pete Boot and one from Turlough Adley. Jamie Sellick netted twice for Rhode Lane.
