Bristol Union 3, Bridgwater Town 2

TOWN travelled to Bristol for the third successive week and can count themselves unlucky to lose this close encounter.

The home side hit the bar but strong defensive work kept the Union forwards at bay and that hard work paid off when Bridgwater took the lead after 30 minutes thanks to a pinpoint Hannha Brown free-kick. Union equalised a minute later to level the scores before the break.

Chelsea Pitt put Bridgwater back in front on the hour-mark when she turned the ball in from close range but two late goals in the 80th and 90th minute ruined their hard work to condemn Town to defeat.

l Next week, Town travel to Cleeve West Town, kick-off 2pm.
