Cricket concludes with wins for Wembdon Academy and North Petherton 2nds
TWO of our cricket teams completed their seasons this weekend with wins.
Wembdon Academy hit 268-7 against East Huntspill thanks to a stylish 91 from Rich Weber, 41 from L Pigden and 39 from B Puddy.
They then completed the performance by routing Huntspill for 89 with Dan Buller (4-37) and P Cook (5-52) doing the damage.
Also, North Petherton 2nds beat Burnham 2nds for the second time in as many weeks. Petherton hit 188-3 from their overs thanks to a classy 80 not out from K Williams.
Spinner Ian Hucker rounded off the win to claim superb figures of 5-30 and skittle Burnham for 144.
