Kevin Milsom takes positives from Tiverton Town draw
Bridgwater Town manager Kevin Milsom said there were lessons to be learned despite a 'pleasing' 1-1 draw with Tiverton on Saturday.
A Craig Veal goal on 17 minutes kept Bridgwater's noses in front for the majority of the match but with ten minutes to go, the Devon side equalised to share the spoils.
He said: “It shows how far we have come when we are disappointed not to take three points from Tiverton - there are not many sides will take any points from there this season.
“We have to learn to see these games out though and even their manager said after the game that they got out of jail.
“But there are positives to take, everyone is fitting in well and we will keep going forward.”
The team travel to Oxford-based side Abingdon United in the FA Trophy on Saturday and Milsom is keen to get a good cup run under their belts.
He said: “The FA Cup was a disappointment but there is a big incentive to do well in this cup and a financial boost for the club too.”
Kick off for the match is 3pm and a coach will leave Fairfax Park at 10.30am.
