BRIDGWATER earned a hard fought point at Ladymead on Saturday afternoon as a late goal by the home side denied them the victory.

The game was always open with play going from end to end and Tiverton created the first chances with Joe Bushin and Dave Steele going close.

Bridgwater came more into the game and took the lead on 17 minutes when Craig Veal chipped Tiverton's keeper following goof work by Jon Vance.

Vance himself had a chance just after but his firm shot flew straight at the keeper.

At the other end, Bushin's overhead kick was well saved Luke Purnell as half time approached.

A double substitution at half time from Tiverton saw the home side gradually gain control of the game.

Tiverton eventually equalised in the 79th minute when Josh Concanen slid the ball home following a free kick as both teams took a share of the spoils.

Team: Purnell, P Veal, Thomas, Middleton, McGrath (c), Legg, C Veal, Mountford, Pearse, Vance, Fitzpatrick.

Subs: Mercieca, Mawford, Simpson, Chamberlain, Viney
