KEVIN Milsom says his Bridgwater Town side are “more than ready” for the season’s curtain raiser against promotion hopefuls Hungerford on Saturday (August 18).
Town welcome the affluent side to Fairfax Park in what promises to be a tough opening clash to their Evo-Stik Division One South and West campaign.
Hungerford have recruited well over the summer, but Bridgwater boss Milsom believes his team are more than a match and says they’re chomping at the bit to get going.
He told the Mercury : “We’re more than ready to go – we’ve had a great pre-season and we’ve acquitted ourselves well.
“We can’t wait until Saturday to pit ourselves against one of the top teams in the league who will be going for promotion.
“It will be 11 against 11 and as I said we’ve made great progress in pre-season and we look like we can score goals. What’s nice is all the new lads have settled in really well and they’ll all be in for the match.”
