BRIDGWATER'S lead at the top of the West of England Premier Division was cut to 19 points after their match with Bristol was abandoned after heavy rain.
The visitors won the toss and asked Bristol to bat with Chris Skidmore (2-32) and Ian Bishop (0-26) keeping a lid on the scoring.
Max Finzel (67) was the mainstay of the Bristol innings but lost partners as Mike Coles (3-46) and Steffan Jones (2-20) took regular wickets to restrict the home side to 191-9.
Unfortunately, no reply could be managed as heavy rain forced an end to the match.
The team are at home to Corsham on Saturday. Play starts at 1pm.
