THE popular Nether Stowey lakes is offering some exciting sport with carp to 8lb and catches of 70lb to 100lb from the car park end.

Meat, paste, pellet and bread are the favoured baits and Bridgwater’s Nigel Harvey, fishing peg four, included roach to nearly 2lb in a 30-fish catch of carp averaging 4lb.

Early evening sport has been tremendous with fish to 10lb taking surface baits.
