Ashcott and Shapwick 269-5 beat Glastonbury 195 by 74 runs CALUM Haggett’s classy 83 helped Ashcott and Shapwick set a commanding total on Saturday in a 74-run win to extend their unbeaten run to four matches and go top of the table.

Haggett was supported by N. Karmakar (32), S. Tinnion (19), S. Savage (18) and W. Spencer (18) and the final seven overs saw an unbroken fifth wicket partnership of 46 between B. Rudge (39 not out) and Lee Edmunds (32) to take the total to 269.

In reply, Glastonbury were indebted to Charlie Vickery who made a well made 76 but the Ashcott and Shapwick bowlers worked as a unit to dismiss Glastonbury for 195. James Hayman (3-22), Karmarkar (2-33) and J. Haggett (2-20) were the main wicket takers.
