TRAMPOLINIST Laura Gallagher is hoping to fulfil her London Olympic dream at the final trials on Saturday.
The 22-year-old, from Westonzoyland, has been deep in training the past month and will have the added incentive of making her grandma proud, who recently passed away.
She said: “I know I have to get a good score and it will be tough.
“I have done everything I can to prepare and it is possible but I just have to remain calm and believe in myself.
“I will use the experiences of competing in high pressure situations over the past 12 months to prepare my mind and I think remembering that I am the first female British gymnast to get a medal at a major championships for over 10 years will help me, too.
“Things have been tough the past few weeks for me and my family as my grandma sadly died – but I hope I can make her proud.”
Gallagher will hope to continue her good form on the trampoline after scooping a bronze in the individual event at the European Championships in Russia last month and gold in the team event.
