PETHERTON recorded their second win of the season with a comprehensive defeat of a youthful Watchet side.

Batting first, Pethy steadily made their way to a final total of 202-7 with runs coming from Tom Williams (46), Russell Williams (40) and Tom Lambert (43).

A useful 21 from Adrian Jones, Nick Revans (12) and Paul Thurston (11 not out) ensured maximum batting points were obtained.

In reply, Watchet were always on the back foot with opening bowlers Tom Smith (2-11) and Scott Briffett (4-26) bowling accurately to remove batsmen at will.

The youth players of Watchet showed resilience and batted well but eventually Pethy bowled the visitors out for 85, thanks to three more wickets from Spencer Frost.
