Young Cannington golfers lose out to Enmore

Members of Cannington's junior golf team which narrowly lost to Enmore in their Somerset Junior League match with Enmore.
CANNINGTON Golf Club's junior golf team lost their Somerset Junior League match to rivals Enmore Park yesterday at the Cannington Course.
Although Cannington captain James Sewell had an emphatic win over Enmore Captain Kieran Windsor by 7&6 the rest of the team could not keep up this pace. Promising golfer Claire Popplewell lost to Richard Kippen 4&3.
However James Lloyd and Scott Laing put up a stirring fight before going to Will Howlett and ex Cannington player Megan Dennet by 2&1. James and Scott are beginning to develop a good understanding with each other and could become a formidable pair in the rest of the season to come.
In the final group two new Cannington players to league golf; Joe Jasinski and James Leonard went down to again ex Cannington players Jack Dray and Jake Bovington 5&4. Final result Cannington 1 Enmore 3.
