BRIDGWATER skipper Mike Coles urged his team not to get carried away despite a blistering start to their 2012 league a cup campaign.

Coles was instrumental in both wins this weekend, hitting unbeaten knocks of 108 against Bath and 54 against Glastonbury.

The burly batsman said: “It was a fantastic weekend for the club and a real party atmosphere after all of the teams won.

“But we have to make sure we don't get carried away because in the past we have raised our game against the bigger teams but not for teams lower in the table so we need to learn from that.”

Coles was full of praise for Stuart Butt, who scored 63 not out during the Bath run chase, adding that he allowed him the licence to play some shots.

He said: “If wickets had been falling at the other end I would have had to change my game but Butty batted really well and we rotated the strike well.”

The team face another tricky test at Frocester this Saturday and they hope to welcome back Andy Hallaran after he missed Sunday's cup match with a bad back.

Coles said: “They are a dangerous team and in the past have always been in the top two or three in the league.”
