FAST bowler Ajmal Shahzad has decided to move to Lancashire rather than Somerset on a loan agreement until the end of the season.
It was hoped the 26-year-old would pen a deal with the Cidermen to solve their worries in the bowling department following a number of injuries.
But the former Yorkshire man posted on social networking site Twitter this morning: "Great feeling to be back into cricket today! Appreciate Lancashire for having me on a loan agreement till the end of the season."
Steve Kirby is likely to be out for another four weeks with a quad strain, Gemaal Hussain and Adam Dibble are also both injured, and Alfonso Thomas is playing with Pune Warriors in the Indian Premier League.
Somerset's next match is tomorrow (May 9) in an LV County Championship encounter at Durham.
