AFTER a free week of fixtures, Bridgwater Town will kick back into action against lowly side Clevedon on Saturday.
The first team and the reserves played a friendly on Wednesday evening after the match with Exeter City had to be postponed due to a freezing pitch.
But manager Rob Dray said his team are prepared for a ‘massive’ game this weekend.
He said: “Clevedon beat Poole recently so they are on a little bit of form and have a couple of players back so it is a massive game.
“We are not going to let the season tippy toe out because that’s not what any of the lads want.
“This league is so open that even a team near the bottom can beat a top six team so we can’t take our foot off the gas.”
Former Bridgwater players Matt Thorne and George Brimson are set to make an appearance for Clevedon on Saturday which Dray said will prove to be a big incentive for all the players.
Pete Monks is a major doubt for the clash and captain Danny Wring and centre-back Josh Turner will be missing through suspensions.
Dray said even though the play-offs is out of the equation he is looking for players to impress as he looks ahead to building for next season.
He said: “We have got an idea who we want to retain and we have had some great results this season so we are not far off being a top six side.”
Kick-off is 3pm at Fairfax Park.
