A HANDFUL of matches survived the cold weekend weather in the Uxella Sunday League.
Two quarter final clashes in the Dave Hobbs Cup took place with Highburn progressing through to the last four thanks to a 4-1 win over New Foresters.
Ross Bowman grabbed a brace along with an own goal and a Wes Darrington strike to round off the scoring.
In the only other quarter final match to brave the cold, Cannington netted four against Knowle to complete a 4-0 rout.
Goalscorers Dean Taylor, Ryan Williams, Adam Lawrence and Bart Ochim made up the scoring.
Flag Old Boys versus Grasshoppers and Red Tile’s home match against Tiger Old Boys were postponed.
In league action, the only Division One match to go ahead saw Middlezoy beat Blake OB 4-2 thanks to a superb all-round display from striker Nathan Barnard, who netted all four goals.
The only fixture in Division Two that went ahead was a 6-2 win for Quantock Pride Reserves as they travelled to Ramblers.
Brad Butler and Joe Clark netted consolation goals for the home side.
