Sidmouth 3, Bridgwater 1st XI 4 BRIDGWATER travelled to the notoriously competitive Sidmouth on Saturday.
The first half saw Sidmouth take a two-goal lead, even though Bridgwater looked threatening going forward, their passing was not accurate enough.
A half time reshuffle saw Bridgwater push men high onto Sidmouth's right and left back which paid dividends as a Chris Lines short corner strike and a Liam Hedaux lift over the advancing keeper helped to level the scores.
The same pair scored again with vital touches in the 'D' to give Bridgwater a 4-2 lead. Sidmouth pulled a goal back from the penalty spot, but Bridgwater held on to secure a well earned three points.
Bridgwater 1st XI 3, OPM 0 THIS re-arranged game saw Bridgwater start brightly on Sunday as they had a number of chances before Martin James found the back-board.
Will Pope scored the second before half time from an acute angle to double their advantage.
Bridgwater had to wait until the final minutes before adding a further goal through Chris Lines.
With six points from the weekend Bridgwater move up to fifth place in the league.
