Bridgwater Town boss Rob Dray has described the last three matches as a real wake-up call.
The Robins faced a tough trio of fixtures and lost 4-0 to Bideford, 1-0 to Hungerford and 2-1 to Gosport Borough on Saturday.
This run leaves the team in 14th place but Dray said he could not fault his team's efforts.
He added: “There is an element of disappointment but the lads worked really hard.
“We knew it was going to be a difficult period but this just gives us all a wake-up call.”
Bridgwater Town have no league match next Saturday but will face a select Exeter City XI on Wednesday night.
Dray said Exeter will bring a mixed team including a number of first team professionals and youth team footballers.
He added: "This will be better than training for the team and give our players who have been out with injuries some match fitness."
The match will kick-off is 7.30pm at Fairfax Park. Tickets cost £5 for adults, £3 for senior citizens aged over 65, and children under 16 enter can for free.
