DIVISION one leaders Highbridge Town suffered a surprise 2-1 home defeat to bottom side Bridgwater Sports.
Andy Skidmore and Matt Fursland scored for Sports with Stu Green replying for Highbridge.
Cannington lost 2-1 at home to Locomotives. Mark Pope became the division’s leading scorer after netting for Cannington.
In division two, Predators closed the gap on leaders Bridgwater Sports Reserves, who were on cup duty (see below), with a 2-1 win at Wembdon.
Adam and Matt Kinsey scored for Predators; Nick Hayman replied for the home side.
Josh Speed scored Sydenham Rangers’ only goal in their 4-1 defeat against Minehead.
North Petherton have opened up a three-point lead at the top of division three after a 5-2 win over Old Inn Allstars.
Craig Wright scored a hat-trick and Mark Mantyk and Tom Walford scored the others.
Bridgwater Sports Colts lost 1-0 to Appletree.
Highbridge Town Reserves lost 5-3 against Redgate. Simon Fidoe scored two and Phil Court, Darren Couch and Ian Haste got one each for Redgate; Lee Vaughan replied with two for Highbridge with Chris Farley adding the third.
Barry Dobson got Spaxton’s solitary goal in their 4-1 home loss to Exmoor Rangers.
Stogursey went back top of division four with a 6-2 trouncing of their hosts, Dulverton Town Reserves.
Alex Troman scored a hat-trick; Matt Tooze, Marc Troman and Alex Dixon got the others.
North Petherton Reserves got their first win of the season, beating fellow strugglers Bridgwater Grasshoppers 6-0; Ed Habberfield, Daniel Perks, Lloyd Beacham, Peter Jenkins and Jack Sealey got the goals, and Grasshoppers scored an own goal. Nether Stowey Reserves drew 1-1 with Bishops Lydeard Colts; Jason Alexander scored for Stowey.
Rhode Lane Wanderers lost 3-0 to Norton Fitzwarren. Westonzoyland Reserves and Hamilton Hawks drew 2-2; Sam Weston and Jamie Temlett scored for the home side and Rob Chambers and Ben Stark responded for Hawks.
Bridgwater Sports Reserves are through to the semi-final of the Somerset Intermediate Cup after a 2-0 win over Cutters Friday, with goals from Dean Organ and Ben Fellows.
