A TOP Woolavington trampolinist needs the votes of Mercury readers to aid her quest for the 2012 Olympics.
Laura Gallagher has been shortlisted to win a flight to Canada where she can train with world-class athletes on specialist equipment.
The 20-year-old is one of eight people in the running to with a flight through British Airways' Great Britons - and she needs votes.
She said: “If I won the trip, I would be able to use equipment that is not available in the UK, like bungee ropes that let you try out new moves and help orientation.
“I would also get to train with some top men and women over there, which would be really good for my training and would get me out of my environment.”
Laura started trampolining at 12 years old, and has just qualified for the European Championships, but she has not always enjoyed high-flying success.
Three years ago she sustained a neck injury, which was a devastating blow, putting her out of action for three months. But determined Laura came back stronger and won the Under-19 Trampoline Championships.
Now, with great accolades under her belt and jumping in the senior category, her eyes are on the Olympics.
