NORFOLK ’n’ Chance have made a significant move at the top of Division One in the Bridgwater Ladies’ Darts League after they beat closest rivals Squib A in a rearranged match to take a two-point lead.

They had already won 8-7 against Pawlett Pavilion on Monday night with the aid of a Nikki Rogers 180, while Squib had their bye.

Then on Wednesday they ran out 8-7 winners in what may turn out to be a title decider, Sharon Webb hitting a 104 out for the winning side.

The result means Squib will now have to rely on others to retain their title.

The Kings Head beat Bird A 9-6 to go third on legs ahead of George Hotel, who lost 8-7 to the Lions Club, for whom Lyn Hart hit a 102 away.

The Fockers won the other match in the division, 11-4 against Black Horse.

Mary Bradfield hit a 115 away as No Hope ’n’ Hell drew 6-6 with the Lime Kiln, which was good enough to keep them top of Division Two.

River Parrett A, who beat Cobblestones 9-3, and Old Market, who lost 7-5 to Bird B, are level on 15 points and 80 legs.

But Parrett sit second having won one more match, with Bird also on 15 points but a leg behind.

Volunteer beat Crown B in the other match.

The White Hart are four points clear at the top of Division Three after a mixed week.

They lost 7-5 to the Blake Arms but receive a 12-0 walkover from a rearranged match with the Commercial. The Three Lions beat the Knowle Inn 8-4 to sit second, a couple of points ahead of the Commercial.

Commercial overcame Malty Maniacs 8-4 while Railway Club saw off Parrett B 9-3.
